God’s prayer for puppies

I will lend to you for awhile a puppy,
For you to love him while he lives
and to mourn for him when he is gone.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years,
Or maybe for a day or two or three.
But will you, till I call him back,
Take care of him for me?

Should his stay be brief
you'll always have his memories
as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise that he will stay,
since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught below
I want this pup to learn.
But should I call him back
much sooner than you've planned
Please brave the bitter grief that comes
and try to understand.

I want to thank all the people that purchased a puppy from me. All of my puppies went to wonderful homes around the country. I will be planning a Spring breeding in 2011. Please check my website for more information.

OTCH Kerrybrook’s Huyana Stormee, UDX3, OM2, RE

What a gorgeous yellow lab.  She looks like a breed Lab, but works likes a field Lab.  She comes from the Ridgeview Kennel lines on her father’s side and the Kerrybrook’s line on her mother’s side.  Both lines carry championship dogs and also great working dogs such as her sire, CH Ridgeview No Fear MH, and her grandsire on her mother’s side, CH Franklin’s Pickpocket for Kerrybrook MH.
Stormee is a great working dog.  She loves to work and she loves to learn.  She goes in the ring with such attitude and joy.  She has achieved so many accomplishments before she turned three years in October.

Stormee received her CD and CDX titles before the age of two with a couple of “High in Trials.”  She received her UDX title before the age of three and is well on her way to her second UDX title with nine wins.  She won the Utility class at All Stars in 2008.

On January 29, 2010 Stormee achieved her "OTCH" title and her UDX3 title at the York County Obedience Trial. She was also HIT for the day. She is a truly wonderful dog and has such drive and loves to work.

If you are interested in adopting any of our wonderful puppies, please fill out this form and email it back to me.

All Willow Dale puppies will be sold under “limited” registration.

Limited Registration means that the dog is registered but no litters produced by that dog are eligible for registration. The dog can compete in every AKC event, including obedience, tracking, field trials, and hunt tests, and agility, except for breed competition, at an AKC licensed or member event.

Why do I as a breeder specify limited registration for a puppy?

In my case it is to protect the puppy and to try to prevent genetic problems in the Labrador retriever breed. I sell my puppies on a limited registration to make them less appealing to puppy mills – a puppy whose offspring can’t be registered isn’t as valuable to them.

Limited registration also helps to prevent genetic problems by preventing the breeding of dogs that haven’t been checked for these problems. Well, it doesn’t actually prevent the breeding, just the registration of any offspring. Few owners will go to the expense of breeding their registered dog, if the offspring can’t be registered.
